CV angels have pretty unusual design for a career website. The site looks quite modern in black and pink with all those fancy banners and social media buttons. While most of the sites only offer resumes, they provide a quite wide range of resume writing and career coaching services. I have recently graduated from the university and was looking for someone who could make my resume competitive and expected to receive this help here.
Order & Prices
It became an unpleasant surprise for me when I haven’t found any information related to prices. I was going to order a resume and one interview coaching session, but literally had no idea of how much it would cost me. They offered the potential customers to send them a message, and unfortunately it was the only way of getting in touch as I have found neither phone number, nor chat button. So I had no choice except for message them asking for quote. They answered quite fast and told it would cost around $350, so I paid and sent them my resume draft.
Writing process
As there was any registration on the site, I paid via PayPal and the next day the writer got in touch with me to discuss resume in detail. I let him know a plenty of extra facts which my resume didn’t contain. While my resume was being written, I also passed the interview coaching and the coach pointed out to my mistakes and learned how to answer the questions better. Five days later I was upon receipt of the resume, which had black and white conservative design and strict structure. Why didn’t they make it more eye-catching?
Conclusion
The interview coaching was the most positive moment of my experience with this website. To my regret, cannot say the same regarding the resume, as it didn’t evoke any emotions. It was professionally written but quite dull. But what disappointed me most was slow support and lack of helpful information on the site. I paid and had no idea how the entire process worked. So I’d recommend you check the websites with positive feedback, such as Perfect Resume org.
